Aftera recent Windows update, Adobe Acrobat Reader DC will no longer open when I click on the icon, nor open when I right click and run as administrator. Theeight machines are Dell with Windows 10 Pro x64-bit. It does not matter if the anti-virus is on or off. It does not matter if it is an older Windows machine (been in service for a year) or a fresh out of the box and fresh image. We are required to have Acrobat Pro 32-bit. Acrobat Pro 64-bit will not run some of our vendor plug-ins.
Bothmachines run on Windows 10 and have identical Version of Adobe Acrobat #18.009.20044 installed. When I click on any PDF file on my desktop I get this message: “Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. ihave followed the instructions that others have tried including: Removing the preferences folder from the acrobat folder under my user profile. Runnning a DISM restore health. Uninstalling and Reinstalling the app (temp fix) before you suggest it no the app has not opened off screen and simply needs moving to the viewable area.
Samehere using Adobe Acrobat for years. Currently running Acrobat Pro 2020 (full version). No issues here. Anyway, are you sure you're using Acrobat Reader DC, as "Acrobat Reader" has been discontinued for years. So much so that now Acrobat Reader DC, is now simply called "Acrobat Reader".
