Also need to know which stereo you have. The module connects to the back of the stereo via an extra harness. There's also a microphone that slots into the interior light.
It has bluetooth, the 'multi device interface' so that one's iPod can actually be docked and controlled through the stereo, and a DAB digital radio to boot. Possibly a bit similar to the system in the new Octavia SE Connect that Skoda announced earlier this week? Or to put it more simply, it's the system as found in Volkswagen's Golf Match.
Try these places first: Glovebox – Some radio codes appear on a sticker in the glovebox. Vehicle handbook – You might find the code in your vehicle handbook under the stereo or security section. Alternatively, some codes are printed on a small paper or plastic card, found inside the handbook.
I always stream on Spotify. If I see that the sound doesn't play and I disconnect the phone, it does switch to the cars bluetooth and works just fine but if I'd connect AA again, still doesn't work. I really do need to get out the car, lock, unlock, get back in and start the car up again. Only way to make it work again.
